To make a reservation call
We always liked to be talked about and receive feedback from the press and of course the most important people our diners and guests. If you feel that there is anything we can improve on, we’d love to hear from you (equally it’s always nice to hear something that you think we’ve done well!).
Alastair Sawdays Special Places Pubs & Inns
Chef-Patron John and wife Claire run the old coaching inn with an easy charm. The rambling, low-beamed, nooked and crannied brasserie-bar has been stylishly updated and mixes rough stone walls with smooth ones, there are leather chairs, muted heritage colours and a roaring fire. They have a beautiful cocktail lounge, with comfy sofas and log burner. Well-equipped bedrooms flaunt the best of contemporary. Food is the thing – it’s fabulous – and so are the breakfasts.
